About Bob Israel

I guess I've had a love of photography since the mid-80s but only in the last 5 years has my passion been unlocked. I'll photograph almost any subject but I tend toward landscapes, macro-photography yet I love creating fine art black and white images. Black and white images seem to me to contain much more emotion. Maybe, it's because the image doesn't have the distraction of color and therefore requires more exploration of the mind. Textures and patterns, sometimes obvious, sometimes abstract but I try to bring these out in my images. Digital photography combines my love for computers (I build my own) and photography.

While I can't yet go full time with professional photography at this point in my life, I am satisfied with my self proclaimed semi-professional status.
